PSNC provides access to a world-class e-Infrastructure for the scientific community, a specific research and development environment – DIGITAL SCIENCE – for “proof of concept” projects, prototyping or large-scale pilot projects. Another branch of our activity is in DIGITAL INDUSTRY, which is focused on the creation of innovations based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), i.e. the execution of specific implementations for various fields of science and industry. Equally important is our work in the context of SOCIAL INNOVATION to spread knowledge and awareness of contemporary technological opportunities among various social groups, as well as actively fighting against digital exclusion.
For over 30 years, we have been open to extensive cooperation both with research institutions to explore new areas of scientific challenges in joint projects and with industry partners – new entrants or large companies for which our competence and experience can become a strong asset to develop competitive innovation. PSNC in numbers
ROHub is a research object management platform that supports the preservation and lifecycle management of scientific research, research campaigns and operational processes. It has been developed by a team led by Raul Palma, Manager of Data Analytics and Semantics Department at PSNC.
The project entitled: "Simple language in Poznań City Hall" (Polish: “Prosty język w Urzędzie Miasta Poznania”) was awarded a prize in the fifth edition of the "Innovative Local Government" competition organised by the PAP Local Government Service. The project is the result of cooperation between Poznań City Hall, Adam Mickiewicz University and the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.
This year Poland is celebrating 20 years of its membership in the European Union. To mark the occasion, an open-air exhibition entitled ‘Colours of Science’was presented in four cities: Warsaw, Krakow, Szczecin and Poznań. In the capital of Wielkopolska region, the exhibition can be seen in the courtyard of the headquarters of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center at Jana Pawla II Street. The HPC data storage system at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center has again been highly ranked in the prestigious IO500 competition held during the ISC High Performance 2024 conference. The system took 8th place in the '10 Node Production List' category, in which it was listed for the first time, and 14th place in the 'Production List' category, in which the PSNC system has been present since 2023.
Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC) and ORCA Computing announced a collaboration with NVIDIA, to accelerate the development of hybrid quantum-classical approaches. Recognizing the necessity of hybrid computing to unlock the full potential of quantum computing, by utilizing real-world, hands-on use cases, this collaboration represents a milestone in revolutionizing various fields such as biology, chemistry, and key industry applications.
During this year's ISC High Performance 2024, the largest HPC conference in Europe, which takes place from 13 to 16 May in Hamburg, Germany, the latest TOP500 list of the world's fastest supercomputers was announced. The list includes the fastest computing systems from the PRACE-LAB and PRACE-LAB2 projects. Two of them are systems from the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.
The Wielkopolska Agricultural Fair is one of the most important events in the calendar, bringing together the agricultural community. During this year's thirtieth anniversary edition (8-9 June 2024), representatives of the Internet of Things Department of the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center presented projects that technologically support agricultural and food processing activities.

As was the case last year, PSNC will present its ongoing projects and initiatives in the exhibition space accompanying the conference, and experts from the PSNC will take part in a panel discussion. The event is organised by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation.
This year's edition of the TNC conference, the largest event dedicated to scientific and academic networks in Europe, will take place in Rennes, France, from 10 to 14 June 2024. It will be hosted by RENATER. In the exhibition area accompanying the conference, the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center and the PIONIER Consortium will present ongoing projects and initiatives. PSNC will also once again be the event's technology partner.

Dariah.lab is a research infrastructure for the humanities and arts, built as part of the DARIAH-PL project.
