Aadharsh Kannan — Data Scientist

Aadharsh Kannan is the VP, Head of Economics and Data Science (EDS) at Western Digital Flash. EDS's mission is to unlock the potential of data to digitally transform Western Digital and consequently, the world. EDS is comprised of multidisciplinary exemplifiers, legacy-builders, and go-getters who harness WD's organizational data to improve pricing, operations, and optimize long-term capital expenditure. Currently, the organization is driving a data-driven transformation to help WD achieve its financial and strategic goals. Prior to this, Aadharsh led a cross-geo organization of Software Engineers, Data and Applied Scientists, and Economists at Microsoft. He was engaged in discovering research incubations rooted in economics, confirming traction, and delivering technology to add long-term value. He was instrumental in devising Microsoft's digital currency strategy; he led research incubation with solutions involving permissioned and permissionless distributed ledger technologies. With over a decade of experience in developing and deploying, economics-powered, large-scale, data-intensive software systems, Aadharsh has demonstrated expertise in driving business growth and revenue yield using Econ and ML-based technologies. He has a proven record of accomplishment in building organizations and delivering technology solutions from the ground up.
