The Journal of Pediatric Psychology Editor and Associate Editors are providing a positionality statement about the group in an effort to be transparent about our backgrounds and the lenses through which we view research and research processes. We are White, Black, and Asian able-bodied individuals who are cisgender and heterosexual or gay/lesbian. We represent various religions and spiritual orientations, including Christian, Atheist, Jewish, and Agnostic. We represent Generation X and Millennials. Professionally, we have PhDs in clinical psychology or developmental psychology and are from doctoral programs with varied emphases including those with and without a traditional pediatric psychology focus. Our academic ranks include Associate and Full Professors. Many of us have received federally funded grants. Our scholarship uses both qualitative and quantitative methods. We strive toward antidiscrimination in our editorial efforts.
