Classically Canadian: Celebrating 40 years of The Tragically Hip on YouTube

Music Artist The Tragically Hip

For four decades, The Tragically Hip has been a fixture in the Canadian music scene. Rock bandmates Gord Downie, Paul Langlois, Rob Baker, Gord Sinclair, and Johnny Fay made waves across their country with their unique sound, and their legacy continues as fans around the world watch and replay their live shows.

To celebrate their 40th anniversary, The Hip is releasing a weekly series of live concert videos spanning their entire career. Every Thursday, fans can head to the official YouTube channel for a new upload. We asked The Hip’s team what fans can expect from the anniversary:

“The Tragically Hip has cemented its position as one of the most infamous and beloved Canadian bands in history. We’re excited to bring to fans all the magical moments of the band’s career, including “Get Back Again”; the holy grail of unreleased tracks, finally remixed, remastered, and ready for fans worldwide.”

To kick off the celebration, fans can now enjoy the 1990 performance of The Tragically Hip live from Halifax’s Misty Moon - newly remastered and in HD. This is the first official release of this concert in its entirety, and is exclusively available this weekend only on YouTube.

Enjoy the show!
