We provide the next generation of innovators with outstanding mentors

The University of Vienna is dedicated to fostering a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem and nurturing innovative ideas.

Our mentors play a crucial role in this mission, offering guidance, expertise, and support to our students and researchers to develop essential skills, and navigate the challenges of entrepreneurship.

We are looking for professionals ranging from experienced CEOs and investors to serial entrepreneurs and people operating in the Austrian innovation ecosystem. 

As a mentor, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Share your insights and industry knowledge.

  • Inspire the next generation of innovators and become part of a growing ecosystem of innovators and entrepreneurs at the University of Vienna.

  • Expand your own professional network and gain fresh perspectives.

How it works

Below, we outline the main steps of the process to become a mentor. 

Application

To become a mentor, apply using this form by 18th August. We will select the mentors based on their experience, commitment and background. 

Onboarding & Matchmaking

Mentors will be invited to participate in an initial networking event on the 30th September, where we will establish the expectations for the next months.

They will sign a mentorship agreement outlining their commitment and the terms of their engagement at the beginning of the programme.

We will pair mentors with the team that best matches their background. The mentoring relationship will start only upon mutual agreement between mentors and the teams to embark.

Check-ins & Networking

Mentors are expected to meet their team 1-2x month to guide them throughout their journey and will be invited to participate in our events throughout the programme to meet the other mentors and teams.

Code of Conduct

Mentors and mentees shall abide to this code of conduct that ensuring a professional, respectful, and productive mentoring relationship.
