ALUMNI
'Stay open and curious about what might happen next'
Multi-disciplinary artist Lucy Pullen (BFA 94) splits her practice between drawing and sculpture in Queens, New York. Her work 100 Closest Stars was recently on display at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery as part of an exhibition of new Canadian sculpture curated by Ray Cronin (BFA ’87).
Lucy grew up near the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and talks about the influence of NSCAD’s conceptual tradition on her work.
Our graduates are known both locally and internationally for their boundless ingenuity and intense curiosity. Alumni go on to have incredible careers—within and beyond the art world—as artists, entrepreneurs, teachers, administrators, academics, and creative professionals. Their paths may be different but there is one thing they all share, their lives were shaped by their time at NSCAD.
