Ching Chan
Areas of expertise: Plant immunity, receptor kinases, ion channels, protein phosphorylation, protein-protein interactions, confocal microscopy, phytohormones Ching is a post-doctoral researcher at the Agricultural Biotechnology Research Center, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. His primary research interest is in plant-microbe interactions under different environmental conditions and the application of this knowledge to crop improvement. Ching joined Dr. Tzyy-Jen Chiou’s lab at Academia Sinica in 2019 and initiated a project to investigate crosstalk between phosphorus and plant immunity signaling. In particular, he focuses on phosphate signaling and transcriptional control of hormone-dependent defense responses. Ching is also working on application strategies to improve plant resistance against bacterial and fungal pathogen. |
