Seeking District and Section Fellow Officer Candidates for 2025
We are currently accepting nominations for the 2025 Fellow elections. The ACOG Board of Directors recently voted to extend the District and Section Fellow officer terms from two to three years. The 2025 term will serve as a transition year into this new process. Roughly one-half of the Districts and Sections up for election will serve a three-year term; the other one-half will serve a two-year term as delineated below. ACOG Fellows and Fellows Senior Status are eligible to become candidates for office within the District or Section that corresponds with their official address. For more information, view the Fellow Election Rotation Chart.
How to Apply
Submit the following materials electronically to [email protected], by August 1, 2024:
-
A letter from you stating the office for which you would like to be a candidate.
-
A one-page, single-sided summary statement of your curriculum vitae (see sample)
-
A complete curriculum vitae
-
A signed copy of the policy on public statements by ACOG officers and those seeking nomination for office
After candidates submit the information listed, ACOG national staff will process applications and contact submitters to confirm official candidacy. Once confirmed, candidate names will be listed on the ACOG website under the position for which they applied. Candidate materials will be distributed to each District or Section Nominating Committee in the fall for consideration.
Position descriptions and responsibilities associated with each office can be found on the main District and Section Elections page. If you have questions about this process, please contact Megan Willis at [email protected] or (202) 863-2531.
