'If I don't scream and shout nothing happens'

Natasha O'Brien, who was attacked by Irish soldier Cathal Crotty in Limerick, said it is not right that victims have to campaign for justice themselves.

Crotty, 22, received a suspended sentence in June for the violent attack, but has now been dismissed from the Irish army.

Ms O'Brien said that many victims just don't have the energy to advocate for themselves after going through the trauma of attacks.

Crotty is being discharged from the Irish Defence Forces.
