Our drive-through check-in process is designed for efficiency! Residents will complete the check-in process without leaving their vehicles. Residents will receive their move-in identification placards, CINO Card, and room key at the check-in tents before continuing to their residential communities.

Bring or LeaveOversized Vehicles
Limit two vehicles per resident
Only two vehicles per resident will be permitted to enter the check-in line and residential communities. Check-in identification placards for approved vehicles will be distributed at the drive-through check-in welcome tent. Any additional vehicles will need to be parked in external lots.
Drop and Go
- Drop and Go is an optional early drop-off for belongings.
- This option is available for new, transfer, and returning students!
- Drop and Go allows you to reduce your check-in time during move-in weekend.
- If you are interested in participating in Drop and Go, you will schedule your drop and go appointment in MyCoastalHome.
- Students participating in Drop and Go must schedule their appointments by Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
- Drop and Go appointments will be Friday, August 9 - Sunday, August 11, 2024.
- Students who choose to participate in Drop and Go will schedule an additional return appointment during move-in weekend (August 15-18, 2024) to check-in and receive their key.
- After scheduling a Drop and Go and Return appointment in MyCoastalHome, residents will arrive on campus, PRIOR to move-in, with their belongings between August 9-11, 2024.
- Residents should go directly to their community desk where they will sign for a loaner key for their room.
- Loaner keys must be returned and residents must leave campus immediately after unpacking and setting up their rooms.
- Drop and Go appointments allow a three-hour timeframe to drop off and unpack their belongings.
- Not all spaces are eligible for Drop and Go.
- Residents are NOT permitted to stay on campus following their Drop and Go appointment.
- Room keys and CINO Cards are not issued during Drop and Go appointments.
- University Housing staff may continue to enter rooms to complete work orders prior to move-in.
- Residents will come back to campus for their Return appointment between August 15-18, 2024!
- At the Return appointment, residents will receive their keys and CINO Card.
Check-In at GG Parking Lot
24-48 hours prior to move-in, residents be emailed their Check-In Pass and unique QR code. Present this code upon arrival at the GG parking lot. Staff will direct residents and families to the appropriate lane and tent!
3-Step Drive-through
After presenting the QR code at the Welcome tent, residents will be directed to the appropriate lane to continue checking in. At each tent checkpoint, residents will receive: unloading pass + residential community map, CINO Card, and room key!
Unloading belongings at the residence halls
After completing check-in at GG, residents will be directed to residence halls to unload their belongings and set up their spaces. ChantiCREW volunteers will be waiting at the unloading zones to help unpack vehicles and carry belongings to rooms!
