Recreation Program Manager Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
Michigan Technological University invites interested applicants for the Recreation Programming Manager position to join the Athletics and Recreation team as we facilitate an inclusive environment where recreation and wellness opportunities transform, engage, and support the Michigan Tech community. This position will primarily Assist with the overall management and operations of Intramural Sports, Outdoor Adventure Program, and Youth Programming. This position also includes responsibilities to collaborate with the operations of other departments on campus closely. The Manager will report directly to the Director of Recreation. This position will also work closely with other staff within the Department of Athletics and recreation and across campus.

Advancement and Alumni Engagement Business Systems Analyst/Data Visualization Specialist Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Business Systems Analyst/Data Visualization Specialist is a member of the Advancement Services team and works with departments across campus to provide a wide range of alumni and donor information. The primary responsibility of this position is supporting Michigan Tech’s alumni and donor information systems and working closely with users to understand their data needs. This position will create reports and execute queries using Ellucian CRM Advance, WebFOCUS and SQL. In addition, this position will serve as a key contributor on large, complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

The Manager of Sustainability Projects and Outreach is a 12-month, full time position that will work collaboratively with the Department of Social Sciences and the Office of Sustainability & Resilience. This position will help shape and support sustainability efforts at both the departmental level and across the institution. The Applied Computing and Computer Science departments are actively seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to fill the role of Program Coordinator. This position will be responsible for managing two grants, the CyberCorps Scholarship for Service (SFS) and National Research Traineeship (NRT) DataSENSE, within the academic domains, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient execution of program activities. The Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful implementation of the grants, fostering collaboration among faculty, students, researchers, and external partners. Review of applications will begin on May 6, 2024. The position of Program Coordinator will be soft funded, with financial support from external grants. These grants come with predetermined end dates; however, the Program Investigators anticipate a continuous cycle of grant applications to ensure the sustained success and growth of the programs. This opportunity offers the Program Coordinator a chance to gain hands-on experience managing budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring fiscal responsibility in alignment with the requirements of external grants.

Assistant Manager, Memorial Union and Business Support Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Memorial Union and Business Support Assistant Manager manages, plans, and oversees events within and associated with the Memorial Union. They are instrumental in meeting with clients to identify and plan for event needs including coordinating set-up, tear-down, technology, and catering requirements. The Assistant Manager also conducts building inspections to ensure that cleanliness and safety standards are being met while providing excellent customer service to a wide variety of customers.
Logistics and Project Manager Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Manager of Logistics and Project Management is a 12-month, full time position responsible for coordinating multiple logistical operations and projects for the department, ensuring an efficient housing operation that maximizes satisfaction for students. Responsibilities include direct management and oversight of the comprehensive front desk system in the university’s residence halls, ensuring the students are provided an exceptional customer service experience and that the facility is presenting an image consistent with the university. This position will assist with similar projects including the management of the Quad Core Fitness Centers in the halls, supervision of the Operations Assistants who provide facility support, and assist with summer conference planning. Additionally, they will partner with multiple departments in the residential living experience to assess the services that impact the living-learning experience for our students. This position will work closely with their Assistant Director colleagues who are responsible for leading assignment processes and will provide secondary functional support as needed in supporting these operations throughout the year.
Assistant Director of Housing Operations and Assignments Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Assistant Director of Housing Operations/Assignments, as a member of the Residence Education and Housing Services team, applies a student development focus to managing residence hall campus occupancy to ensure all operations intentionally promote student growth. With student development as its focus, this position is a champion of efficiency and organization in managing the campus occupancy and is responsible for all aspects of housing contracts, applications, assignments, and billing for campus housing operations for the residence halls. Additionally, this person partners with the Associate Director in the continued implementation of our housing management software and collaborates with IT and ISS to maximize its utilization to improve efficiency for our operations and students.

Executive Director, Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts Main Campus (Houghton, MI)
The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts is the largest performing arts venue in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, primarily serving the public in the Keweenaw region of Houghton, Keweenaw, Baraga, and Ontonagon counties. The center is part of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts (VPA) and includes oversight of programming in two theaters, a visual arts gallery, and a large public lobby. The director reports to the VPA department chair and will work closely with faculty and staff of the VPA department to provide artistic leadership and business management for the overall function of the Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts. The director will implement the strategic plan of the center, participate in university and community partnerships and outreach, and lead fund-raising efforts and grant-writing related to the Presenting Series and other activities of the Rozsa Center. The director will supervise staff in all operational roles in the center including production, marketing, guest services, rentals, ticketing, concessions, and general administration.
