Eman Mahdi joined the Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU as a clinical assistant professor of pediatric radiology and pediatric neuroradiology in Jan 2022 after working as a pediatric and neuroradiologist at the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed her pediatric and pediatric neuroradiology fellowships in the Children’s National Health System in Washington, DC. She is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology with subspecialty board certification in neuroradiology and board eligibility in pediatric radiology. Her areas of interest include neuroradiology of the developing brain, arterial spin labeling of pediatric cerebral perfusion, and fetal and pediatric body MRI.
Dr. Humera Ahsan has been a diagnostic radiologist for almost three decades and primarily sees patients with neurological conditions of the brain and spine. She has a passion for teaching and spends much of her time giving lectures to fellows, residents and undergraduate medical students. Some of Dr. Ahsan’s greatest accomplishments are completing two fellowships — at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and the other at the Royal College of Radiologists UK. Her primary research interests include white matter diseases of the brain.
Dr. Joseph Cousins is a practicing neuroradiologist and primarily sees patients with conditions of the brain and spine. These include brain tumors, epilepsy, spinal stenosis and degeneration, head and neck cancer and tumors, and Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Cousins performs lumbar punctures and myelograms, and he also uses diffusion tensor imaging, functional imaging, and MR spectroscopy. He has been performing imaging services for almost two decades.
Dr. Carlos Leiva-Salinas is a practicing neuroradiologist and focuses exclusively on brain, ear, nose and throat, and spine imaging on patients with all kind of neurologic conditions including headaches, seizures, cerebrovascular conditions such as stroke, aneurysms and brain tumors. Dr. Leiva-Salinas is committed to provide referring physicians with high-quality radiology reports in a timely manner. He is the chief of neuroradiology and program director of the neuroradiology fellowship program at University of Missouri School of Medicine.
Dr. Ayman Nada is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at the Department of Radiology, University of Missouri, USA. He obtained, from the Kasr Al Ainy Medical School, Cairo University, his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2008, his Master’s degree in Diagnosis and Interventional Radiology in 2013, and his Ph.D. in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology in 2017. He has published more than 43 papers with over 228 citations and an H-index of 7 (Scopus, December 2023). He is also a member of the American Board of Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology.
