UOW Early Admission is our early entry offer program for students completing Year 12 (Higher School Certificate or other Australian equivalents) during 2024. When you apply for Early Admission, UOW considers your unique skills and experiences, alongside your Year 11 results, so you can earn an offer to uni before you sit your first exam.

Getting early entry to UOW means less stress for you at that time and provides you with the certainty that next year you'll be studying at a uni who knows you're more than your ATAR.

More than an ATAR

What does UOW look at during Early Admission?

For over 20 years, the UOW Early Admission program has looked beyond ATARs and considered the unique skills and experiences of each applicant. Personal attributes and attitudes, alongside Year 11 results, are taken into account as part of the application. When you apply for Early Admission, you'll be asked to answer four questions that indicate a student is ready to succeed at university. The questions address the below criteria:

  • Academic readiness
  • Motivation and passion
  • Communication and collaboration
  • Planning and persistence

We'll also look at your results in subjects relevant to the course or courses you select in your application.
