Summer Parking Permits for Students

As a reminder, a valid parking permit is required at all times when parking on campus. Permits may be purchased by using ParkbyPlate in designated areas, or by utilizing a permit dispenser or visiting one of our staffed information kiosks for cash purchases. Affiliates may also log into myCommute to purchase their permit.

If your preferred purchasing method is unavailable, please utilize another option. For questions regarding event-based parking needs, contact our event coordinator at 949-824-2690.

Maintenance Work during Summer

UCI Transportation will begin our preventative summer maintenance work, including restriping parking stalls, painting roadway markings, filling asphalt cracks, and resurfacing campus parking lots and pathways. Intermittent closures will occur in support of this work. Please refer to our map of upcoming impacts for specific locations and dates, and be aware of signage indicating upcoming activity.

Mesa Court Tower Expansion projectportions of Lots 5 and 14 and the adjacent pedestrian pathways will be closed during the construction project. Access to Lots 5 and 14 remains available during this time. Please be aware of fencing or posted signage when traveling in these areas.

Falling Leaves Foundation Medical Innovation Building project: several parking areas and a portion of Health Sciences Road will be closed through the completion of the project. Beckman Laser Institute, Gillespie Neuroscience Research Facility, and Gross Hall will remain accessible via West Peltason Drive. View a map of the roadway access.

OCTA University Pass Available Online

University Pass (UPass) memberships for the 2024-2025 fiscal year are available to purchase online through the myCommute portal. UCI Transportation has negotiated a special rate from OCTA for UCI faculty, staff, and students from the main campus, which allows for unlimited use of OCBus standard routes throughout Orange County. This year’s UPass will be valid through June 30, 2025, at a low, one-time cost of $169.
