Charlotte Olsen and Julie Grow from the Region 8 ORO office, alongside Nicole Dobbins, the IOAS Senior Policy Advisor, led the "Promotoras in Human Services" innovation accelerator project aimed to leverage a proven public health approach to enhance the effectiveness of ACF programs in reaching underserved populations nationwide.
On May 6, 2024, Regional Administrator Barbara Lacina, along with Jeff Stocks, Program Specialist from Region 7’s Office of Child Support Services team, visited the Clay County Child Support Parenting Court in Liberty, Missouri. Their visit aimed to learn more about the Parenting Court diversionary program, which offers resources and support to non-custodial parents.
Fostering Positive and Action-Oriented Relationships with Tribal Partners by "Meeting Them Where They Are"
ORO Region 10 participated in the 42nd Annual 'Protecting Our Children Conference' hosted by the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) in Seattle, WA, and met with Tribal partners and organizations at the Alaska Native Women’s Resource Center along with ACF’s Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary (PDAS) Jeff Hild and team.
The Office of Regional Operations (ORO) advises the ACF Assistant Secretary on state relations and cross-cutting, results-based strategic initiatives, leveraging public-private partnerships to improve outcomes for children and families.
