Saħħa tal-Pjanti
Il-Bord dwar is-Saħħa tal-Pjanti (PLH) jipprovdi parir xjentifiku indipendenti dwar ir-riskju kkważat mill-pesti tal-pjanti li jistgħu jikkawżaw ħsara lill-pjanti, lill-prodotti tal-pjanti jew lill-bijodiversità fl-UE. Il-Bord jirrieżamina u jivvaluta dawk ir-riskji fir-rigward tas-sikurezza u s-sigurtà tal-katina tal-ikel.
Il-Membri tal-Bord tal-PLH huma xjenzati minn madwar l-Ewropa b’għarfien espert f’dawn li ġejjin:
- Valutazzjoni tar-riskju tal-pesti – b’attenzjoni partikolari għall-metodi kwantitattivi
- Analiżi tal-perkors kwantitattiv
- Immudellar spazjali u temporali tad-dinamika tal-pesti, inkluża l-aerobijoloġija
- Disinn sperimentali u pproċessar ta’ data statistika
- Rieżami sistematiku tal-letteratura
- Patoloġija tal-pjanti – mard ikkawżat minn mikroorganiżmi fitopatoġeniċi, eż. fungi, batterji, fitoplażmi, virusijiet, virojdi)
- L-epidemjoloġija u l-ġestjoni tal-mard tal-pjanti
