Regulations for the Editorial Board

1. The editorial board is composed of editor-in-chief, managing editor, editorial board members, associate editors, English language review consultant, and statistical review consultant.

2. For the composition of the editorial board, an associate editor is selected among experts in the following fields: clinical research (endocrinology and family medicine), basic research, infant and adolescent obesity, nutrition, physical exercise, behavioral medicine, and surgical treatment of obesity. Review of the manuscript is requested from experts in the corresponding field, according to the content of the submitted manuscript, and the results are summarized to either accept or reject the manuscript.

3. The reviewer recommendation system is introduced. Authors who submit a manuscript to the journal are allowed to recommend three reviewers. The editorial board may approve the qualifications of the recommended reviewers after considering their expertise and independence and request them to review the manuscript.

4. The editorial board meeting should be held one month prior to the quarterly publication of the journal to determine the final list of articles to be published in each issue with the editor-in-chief, managing editor, editorial board members, associate editors, English language review consultant, and statistical review consultant. Additional meetings may be held if necessary.
