Quarterly cross-border ATM cash withdrawal number from the Netherlands 2005-2021
The fourth quarter of 2021 had approximately 210 thousand ATM cash withdrawals made with Dutch cards for cross-border payments. This was the lowest recorded amount of quarterly ATM cash withdrawals for cross-border payments since the first quarter of 2005. According to the Dutch Central Bank (DNB), approximately 55 percent of all Dutch consumers have a credit card in his or her possession. The use of debit cards, however, is much more accepted as a payment method.
