U.S. oil and gas firms' expectations on capital spending 2024, by sector
According to a 2023 survey of oil and gas executives, capital spending by oil and gas companies is expected to increase in 2024. 35 percent of respondents from large exploration and production companies said their firm would increase it's capital investment volume. This compared with 47 percent of small exploration and production companies, who looked to raise their spending.
